Label Transition
Period
USPS must slowly transition from the 10-digit label to the 24-digit label. Postal facilities will gradually switch over to the new hardware and software system. During the transition to the new EDL, each facility will move from using the old label to using ATLAS to print a combination of three labels in addition to the current 10-digit format as systems are being upgraded.
