In this lesson, you learned:

  • The EDL/ATLAS implementation will result in changes to software, servers, printers, workstations, and scanners at USPS.
  • The three national-level servers are ARTEMIS, THEA, and GAEA.
  • The two facility-level servers are WebATLAS and ARES.
  • The components of ATLAS at the machine level include ATLAS Wedge functionality on MPE and accessibility to the ATLAS Web interface on ACE workstations and ATLAS workstations.
  • Label-producing printers will be upgraded and replaced to accommodate the new EDLs.
  • Scanners and IMDs will be upgraded and installed as part of the new ATLAS system.
  • Employees should follow SOPs and only produce labels using WebATLAS and MPE.
